Hi, I’m Kara -- the heart behind Mayhem Threads.  I’m a mom of four, grandma to one sweet little boy, dog mom to four, and married to an incredible man who keeps life grounded while things get a little wild around here. 

I’m Baltimore born, now living in Ellicott City, Maryland, and deeply rooted in East Coast soul with a soft spot for the South. Give me New Orleans, worn denim, western details, boho textures, and cowgirl energy any day.

I’m a barrel racing mom through and through, and some of my favorite moments are spent watching my daughter fly around barrels on her horse, Holiday Cat -- also known as Kitty Cat… also known as Hellcat. If you know, you know. Dirt flying, heart pounding, pride overflowing.

I’ve been an Etsy seller for 10 years, and Mayhem Threads is the next chapter of that journey. I recently rebranded from Atomic Color LLC to Mayhem Threads LLC to better reflect the life I live and the things that make me happy -- motherhood, family, western roots, grit, humor, faith, and a little everyday chaos. 

This shop is inspired by loud love, strong women, messy kitchens, dusty boots, late nights, early mornings, and doing life with heart.

Mayhem Threads is for the ones who embrace the noise, the beauty, and the in-between. The ones who wear their story proudly. The ones who know that mayhem isn’t something to tame -- it’s something to celebrate.
